Name: Willow Wicwicca Medea
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Witch
Alliance (dark/light/neutral/none): None (Witches' Guild)
Appearance: Auburn hair tumbles in thick waves down her back, while her eyes are the color of amethyst which have a soft red hue, leaving those in her gaze awed by her intense, fierce appearance. Her face is set with high cheek bones and soft, tender lips. Her figure is that of a young maiden, long and lean, standing about 5'7". She usually wears a flowing sapphire gown that ripples around her ankles with a darker bodice tied tightly around her torso. Her feet are covered by leather sandals that lace up her ankles. As she moves earrings of magic circles sway from her ears. Her wrists are wrapped in an assortment of leather bracelets, some with beads, stones, and runes sewn into the design. She is a site to see and is not often forgotten. She is like a polished diamond when standing within the crowds of commoners. Even when she is among the nobility she stands against them clearly, her natural beauty in contrast to their gaudy jewelry and embellishments. Some people believe it is the aura of magic surrounding her that leaves such an impression on others.
She carries no weapons, fully confident of her magical abilities- a trait inherited to many raised in the Witches' Guild. Tied around her waist rests a suede pouch. Inside are vials of various sizes filled with homemade potions she mixed.
Personality: Willow is an independent female who is more willing to help others than to be indebted to someone else for accepting a helping hand. She is stubborn at times, but can be understanding if given enough time to think it through. If she doesn't like the direction a situation is taking or if she simply wants things to go her way she will try to strike a deal. Willow is like a gambler. She relies on luck and her own strength to solve her problems. If things don't go the way she intends her temper has a habit of flaring. Usually she has a good handle on her emotions and doesn't let her anger get the best of her, but there are times when it slips. And when it does, it is best not to be the cause of that anger. She has a tendency to react violently, letting her magic loose against the cause. The end result is never a pretty site.
The adventurous type, Willow tends to jump into situations without thinking things through. She reacts for the sake of seeing or experiencing something new. She loves social events and gatherings. Festivals boggle her mind with the diversity of creatures and artifacts they bring. It is easy to grab her attention because so many things catch her interest: a golden necklace with an elaborate engraving, a flower she has never seen before, strange abilities, citrus fruit, breathtaking views.
History: Willow was raised with her mother and father in the witches' gild, apart from the rest of the world. Her parents, like many of the other witches and wizards, liked to stay in the unclaimed lands, keeping to themselves and out of the politics of the three kingdoms. Because of this upbringing Willow had a tendency to try and sneak out to see what was beyond the guild. More often than not, she was caught and brought back home not having gotten far at all. When she grew old enough to venture out on her own she immediately jumped to the chance to leave her home and explore the rest of the world of Decalage. She has been traveling back and forth from the guild to other lands for the past two years.
Abilities: Being a witch Willow has the ability to cast all sorts of magic. From controlling the elements and being able to blow up a stone wall, Willow also possesses knowledge of magic that can heal the wounded. Although able to cast any type of magic, each spell has its own criteria to be cast. Spells she has been using throughout her entire life or on a day to day basis are much easier for her to use. They require no incantation, just the subtle desire to be cast. In other words she only needs to think of casting the spell and the magic will take action. Take her power of levitating objects for example. It's really her strong affinity for wind elemental magic mixed with her use of gravitational magic, but nonmagic users can't tell the difference. Since she was young she has always enjoyed teasing the other children by lifting them or pulling things out of their reach to making objects too heavy for them to lift.
Like her mother and her mother before her, Willow has been passed down the knowledge of potion making. With the correct ingredients she can mix potions with various effects and uses.
Disabilities: Although she has the ability to cast all sorts of magic, some require more strength than others. Some of the more complex spells require symbols to be drawn while others need an incantation to be recited. Healing magic is the most draining of all. Depending on how severe the wounds she is healing are her magic will require more of her energy. Because she hates this tiring process Willow will usually tell someone to find a medic and remind them that she isn't a doctor.

The steady drops of rain were hushed by the forest's canopy. Under the tree tops the air was slowly beginning to become stirred, becoming less and less humid. It was like a cave; its own safe haven, broken off from the rest of the world. With soft steps Willow made her way across the forest floor, leaves shuffling and twigs breaking under laced sandals. She weaved through the trees gracefully as she walked. Even if she were to move blindly she knew these woods so well that not even her gown would snag on a branch. She had traveled through them many times before when she was young, exploring as much of the world outside the Witch's guild as she could reach. Once she was older she would pass through these woods whenever leaving her home to explore the three kingdoms.
Today, however, she was on her way back to the guild for a short visit. Willow wanted to restock on some herbs and powders. Living outside the Witches' Guild she learned the ingredients she used most were hard, if not impossible, to find.
Emerging from the forest Willow brushed a stray hair behind her ear. She was now in the guild's busy marketplace. Even on a rainy day the street was full of life; shops were open as well as street stands. Witches walked around leisurely protected by their magically altered cloaks and capes. When blessed with magic the weather had a minimal effect on life.
As Willow walked along the many stands her eyes scanned the merchant's assortment of goods. The wooden stands held a range of rich colors from deep browns to vivid reds. She checked quality and ripeness, stopping only at those stands which met her standards. She picked a mixture of ingredients as she walked by, including ginger root, mandrake root, honeysuckle, vertiver, and aconite. Pleased with herself, she continued inside one of the shops to buy some of the rarer ingredients for her potions.
The sound of a jingle announced Willow's entree into the small potions shop. "If you have trouble finding anything Honey, ask me and I'll assist you." The source of the voice came from the figure of a petite old woman moving behind a brightly colored curtain. Her hands and arms moved in the steady motion of someone using a mortar and pestle.
Willow ran her fingers along the mahogany shelves. They were lined with all matter of things from vials of potions and powders to fresh herbs, books, measuring instruments, mortars and pestles, hair, and other strange things like animal parts. Quickly finding the rest of the ingredients she needed, as well as a new mixing tool, Willow paid the old witch and added her new items to the pouch she carried at her waist.
Restocked, Willow began her journey back to the three kingdoms of Decalage.
